Start with defining your campaign goals.

Your goals should help outline where it makes sense to include automated or scheduled campaigns, or a combo of both. 

Scheduled campaigns are deployed at a specific time to maximize audience reach, and 

automated campaigns are set up in advance, and are triggered to send via conditional logic. 

At a minimum, you'll want to have a welcome automation in place to greet those who sign up for your content.
